MX and EX with TRIO ASIC

Alert Description

Warning : With  VPLS/Bridge-Domain environment, an MX/EX9200 Series router with Trio-based MPCs  running affected software. The MPCs may experience NH memory leak in the PFEs when using integrated routing and bridging (IRB) interface participating in the VPLS/Bridge-domain instance. This causes the MPCs to ran out of memory and restart unexpectedly. There is no workaround.

 

Solution

Affected Hardware:

  • Trio-Based MPCs - all parts start with the "MPC" prefix for MX240, MX480, MX960, MX2000s
  • MX80, MX105, MX204, MX10003/8/16
  • EX9200s

Affected Software Releases :

  • 17.3R3-S8 and -S9
  • 17.4R3-S2
  • 18.2R3-S4, -S5, and -S6
  • 18.3R3-S2, and -S3
  • 18.4R3-S1, -S2, -S3, -S4, and -S5
  • 19.2R2 or later
  • 19.3R3 or later
  • 19.4R2 or later
  • 20.1R2 or later
  • 20.2R1 or later
