Alert Description

Junos Software Service Release version 20.1R2-S2-EVO is now available for download from the Junos software download site
Download Junos Software Service Release:
  1. Go to  Junos Platforms - Download Software page
  2. Input your product in the "Find a Product" search box
  3. From the Type/OS drop-down menu, select  Junos SR
  4. From the Version drop-down menu, select your version
  5. Click the Software tab
  6. Select the Install Package as need and follow the prompts

Solution

Junos Software service Release version 20.1R2-S2-EVO is now available.

Product-Group=evo 		There is a delay enforced between back to back switchover. This is 360 seconds unless overridden by platform specific values. So, if the last switchover happened within the last 360 seconds, then it will give this error: "Not ready for mastership switch, try after x seconds?. The "show system switchover" CLI output might show "Switchover Status: Ready". But this field indicates the ready status of all applications on backup RE. This does not consider the back-to-back switchover delay.

Product-Group=evo 		Eventd reads the hostname from /etc/hostname file and updates the same in all syslog files. During bootup time /etc/hostname were not updated by mgd and eventd reads the default hostname. The issue got fixed in PR 1511303 by mgd folks in recent builds. This doesn't impact the functionality and this is a high risk to backport the change(AT#82, AT#87, and AT#90 ) As a workaround, Kindly restart the relay event to avoid this issue.

It does not check for the output of the request chassis routing-engine primary switch check command. As a result, in some of the cases the output of both the commands could be different for 'switchover readiness' for a short duration of time. This is a day-1 behavior in Junos OS Evolved.
