Issues were found with Security Director 16.1R1 affecting policy pushes.

• Policy pushes failing with error: [Error] Calculating rules to publish
• Policy rules reordered when using multiple group policies (Can also be All Device Policy Pre and Post rules)

Junos Space Security Director 16.1R1 software was removed and replaced on the Juniper support site on January 17th, 2017.
Please redownload if needed.
A patch is available to apply to installs that have already been upgraded.

The following workarounds are available but the recommendation is to update with the patch or redownload and install:

• Error pushing policy ([Error] Calculating rules to publish):    Make a change to policy in SD and save.    
  The push should then be successful.

• Policy reording:  This issue affects a device that has multiple group policies applied or the "all device policy"
  • 1. Have the device as part of multiple policy or All Devices Pre and Post Rule
  • 2. Publish the first group policy
  • 3. Publish the second group policy
  • 4. Publish the device specific policy
  • 5. Update preview from the Security Devices page
