 This bulletin is to notify Juniper Networks customers that Junos Service Release 12.3R10-S2, for the EX2200, EX3300, EX4200 and EX4500/4550 Switch platforms, has been released. 

Solution

 This bulletin is to notify Juniper Networks customers that Junos Service Release 12.3R10-S2, for the EX2200, EX3300, EX4200 and EX4500/4550 Switch platforms, has been released. This Service Release is based on Junos 12.3R10-S1 and only includes the problem report fixes listed below. If you are experiencing any of the problems listed below, it is recommended that you upgrade to this service release.

  • PR1105709 -- On EX3300 series Switches, ESWD might crash and generate a core dump in a broadcast storm situation when DHCP-snooping is enabled and there are repeated DHCP Requests/ACKs arriving on the switch as a result of IPs not being accepted by clients
  • PR1107305 -- On EX2200, EX3300, EX4200 and EX4500/4550 Series switches, pfem process might crash and generate a core dump when TCAM is fully utilized
  • PR1109312 -- On EX4500/4550 Series Switches in a virtual chassis setting, CPU utilization might go high and eventually SFID process can crash and generate a core dump when NFS/UDP fragmented packet ingresses over an aggregated bundle and traverses the VCP link(s)
  • PR1112811 -- On EX4200 Series Switches with DHCP-snooping configured, when a host moves from an interface to another and renews its DHCP lease, the DHCP-snooping database might not get updated and this might cause loss of connectivity for the end host
