Alert Description
QFX5100 AC Power supplies may falsely detect an error and shut down under certain temperature fluctuations.
Due to an incorrect algorithm in the firmware, the reported AC Power supply may falsely detect an error and shut itself down under certain temperature fluctuations.
If both power supplies shut down due to this false detection, it will cause the device to reboot.
Power Supplies Affected:
JPSU-850W-AC-AFI Revision 2 or earlier
JPSU-850W-AC-AFO Revision 2 or earlier
This issue is resolved by PR1062224.
Solution
PR1062224
fixes this problem for the power supplies listed.
If you have either of these power supplies installed, the fix is to upgrade Junos Software to one of the releases mentioned below.
