This article answers the question whether Juniper Networks products comply with the "Restricting the use of Hazardous Substances" (RoHS) and "Waste Electronic and Electrical Equipment" (WEEE) directives.

Juniper Networks, Inc. provides recycling support for its equipment to meet the European Union's (EU) Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive, and is planning to extend this support worldwide at a future date.

Products put on the market after 13 August 2005 have been marked or documented with the following symbol:

Subject to limited exemptions available for its products, Juniper Networks, Inc. has already eliminated or reduced below legal limits its usage of substances controlled under the European Union's (EU) Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive. There is continuous effort to improve our product designs to meet the changing environmental requirements through the implementation of Design for Environment (D4E) practices.
