Configured out of band management interface IP from Mist for an SSR device. How to verify the device is configured correctly.

Symptoms

Configured an out of band management IP for SSR through its hub template but its not getting reflected in the SSR

Solution

When an out of band management IP is configured for an SSR in Mist, Mist pushes the config to the SSR and configures its interface (which is in Linux networking space). One way to verify this is by accessing SSR device shell and running the below command

 

cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/<device name>-ifcfg

 

The above file should have the same IP defined under out of band management interface for the SSR device in Mist UI
