Description

Contrail TF WebUI whereby memory usage information for each Contrail component is displaying as 0B instead of actual usage.

Symptoms

RHOSP 17.1.3 / CN 21.4L4, Contrail WebUI whereby memory usage information for each Contrail component is displaying as 0B instead of actual usage.

This was working properly in previous release.


This applies to the info in the following locations of the WebUI:

-> Monitor -> Infrastructure -> Control Nodes

-> Monitor -> Infrastructure -> Virtual Routers

-> Monitor -> Infrastructure -> Analytics Nodes

-> Monitor -> Infrastructure -> Config Nodes

-> Monitor -> Infrastructure -> Database Nodes



Solution

Fixed in Contrail 21.4.L5.


Note : The values displayed have dependency on Linux kernel, the way kernal reports memory usage of given process when cgroups v2 is used instead of v1. Contrail just consumes these interfaces that are being made available by the Linux kernel and displays.
