We have an issue while adding a new card on our MX240 with Os version 24.2 (MIC-3D-10GE-SFP-E with MPC2E-3d-NG-Q). The card comes Online.

We put 2 SFP+-10G-SR on the card but the interfaces didn't come up as "Xe" interfaces. Instead we have "Ge" interfaces.

The FPC is online and the interfaces up but showing incorrect interface type

The correct interface type was shown after configuring the below line:

set chassis fpc 2 pic 2 pic-mode 10g

Other ge interfaces were installed before and hence the FPC could inherit this speed for the rest of the ports
