Please let me know the normal value of FAN RPM in “show chassis environment” as it was not mentioned in public documents.
Please let me know the RPM of the FAN when the FAN is fully installed and the RPM of the remaining FAN when the FAN is removed, respectively.
The fan speeds in ACX7100 routers are not a fixed RPM but rather adjusted based on temperature thresholds.
The ACX7100 has a cooling system with fan modules that operate at different speeds to maintain optimal temperatures,
Each Fan Tray is a pluggable module and houses two 40mmx40mm counter rotating rotors.
You can check the RPM % using ‘show chassis fan’ CLI.
The maximum values of FAN1/FAN2 in each tray are 30000 RPM & 25000 RPM respectively.
This is with additional 200 RPM tolerance & actual are 29800/24800 which is used for % calculations.
Also keep note of below points as well:
The CLI 'show chassis temperature-thresholds' list all the temperature thresholds of all units in chassis.
So we can definitely assume that the RPM remain closer to 44% or 13200/11000 RPM, when the temperatures are in normal range.
