Description

SNMP oid NAT tables are very slow to respond and sometimes SNMP request timeouts completely. This behavior causes problems on monitoring systems because responses are not returned within the SNMP polling interval

Example of affected oids that are slow : 

jnxSpSvcSetIfTable.1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.32.1.3
jnxSpSvcSetTable.1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.32.1.1
jnxSrcNatStatsTable.1.3.6.1.4.1.2636.3.59.1.1.1


Symptoms

NMS (Network Management System) will report timeout for SNMP polling request for NAT tables related metrics.

Solution

A workaround is to increase the SNMP polling interval.

Issue is fixed in the below JUNOS releases
