Description

This article explains the scenario where Security Director removes Proxy ARP settings while updating a NAT policy and provides steps to prevent this behavior.

Symptoms

• Proxy ARP settings configured on the device are removed.

• NAT policy updates complete successfully, but Proxy ARP configuration is deleted.

Solution

 

Disable Proxy ARP management options in Security Director.

1. Log in to the Security Director UI.

 

2. Navigate to:

Configure > NAT Policies

 

3. Edit the affected NAT policy.

 

4. Disable the following options:

Security Director manages Proxy ARP

Auto ARP Configuration

 

5. Save the changes and redeploy the NAT policy.

 

After disabling these options, Security Director will no longer remove Proxy ARP settings during NAT policy updates.
