This article explains the license required to install MPC10E-10C line card

This article provides information on the license requirements for installing  MPC10E-10C-P-BASE card on a Juniper MX960 router.  MPC10E-10C line cards are supported on MX240, MX480, and MX960 devices. There are 2 types of license: Subscription license which includes support and Perpetual license that do not have support and needs to be purchased separately. For MPC10E-10C line card has below requirement.

Subscription --> MPC10E-10C-P-BASE --> S-MX-10C-A1/P1-3/5/7/1*

Perpetual​ --> MPC10E-10C-P-BASE --> S-MX-1C/10C-A1/P1-P

If customer wants to use MACsec features on the MPC10E-10C-P line card, a MACsec license is required
