QFX5130/5700 do not support auto sensing of port optics. Each port needs to have the speed manually configured. Even if a 40G optic is inserted, it needs to be configured that its 40G ,otherwise the port won’t come up.

Port don't come UP if port speed is not set.

Campus Fabric configuration overwrites manually set speed to 'auto'.

Port speed needs to be set manually every time Campus Fabric configuration is changed.

This can be achieved by port profiles for L2 ports or ‘speed’ for L3 ports.

However, for campus fabric these ports are overwritten by system configured ‘evpn-uplink’ and ‘evpn-downlink' profiles when campus fabric is configured.

To make port functional again, speed needs to be set manually to port come UP.



-User can update speed in the device detail Port Configuration.

-Speed option defaults to “Auto” when speed is undefined.

-Speed option is only visible for QFX5130/5700 models.
