This article provides guidance to ensure managed SRX devices are correctly listed in the Security Director UI so that the IDP signature database can be installed

Managed SRX devices are not visible in the device list during the IDP signature database installation process, preventing the package from being installed.

Perform a Full or Delta probe for the SRX devices in Security Director:

1. Navigate to Security Director UI → Administration → Signature Database.

2. Click Install Signatures.

3. From the Probe Devices drop-down, select Full Probe or Delta Probe.

4. Click the Job ID and ensure the probe job completes successfully.

After the probe completes:

1. Return to Security Director UI → Administration → Signature Database.

2. Click Install Signatures and verify that the required SRX device is now listed.

3. Proceed with installing the IDP signature database on the managed SRX device by following KB27825 [juniper.net]
