Routing Instance Configuration for System Archival in Junos

Symptoms

%USER-3-ACCT_TRANSFER_FILE_FAILED Error <6555> Uploading file failed.

Solution

The transfer file utility uses the default routing instance to connect to the destination server. If the default routing instance is unable to connect to the destination server, the transfer file utility does not work.

The transfer file utility does not work if you have enabled the management instance.

SCP will work in this case, using mgmt_junos routing-instance.
