Upgrade failed due to ERROR: Use JUNOS VM package error

Symptoms

Sometimes an upgrade on QFX platform can fail due to below error-


ERROR: Cannot install jinstall-qfx-5-18.4R2-S3-signed(bare-metal image) on qfx5100-48s-6q VM

ERROR: Use JUNOS VM package



Solution

In such cases, the packages with keywords 'host' needs to be installed.

eg-

/var/tmp/jinstall-host-qfx-5-18.4R2-S3.tgz
