Updating the IDP signatures database of managed SRX device via security director is not updating the policy template version.

The Policy template version in the SRX is not being updated when the IDP signatures are pushed from Security director.

Please find the below solution:

This to inform you that updating the IDP signatures in SRX device via Security director will not update the Policy template version.

The IDP signatures update will update only the attack database version.

And to update the policy template version you need to update manually from SRX using the particular command.

request security idp security-package install policy-templates

Note: Before proceeding for any changes in SRX device please take a advice of JTAC SRX team.
