This version has no cryptographic support and is intended for countries in the Eurasian Customs Union (EACU). These countries have import restrictions on software containing data-plane encryption. (EACU is currently comprised of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia). The “Junos Limited” image does not have data-plane encryption and is intended only for countries in the Eurasian Customs Union because these countries have import restrictions on software containing data plane encryption. Also, this image contains the Enhanced Automation features mentioned at point: QFX 5 Series Switch with Enhanced Automation 21.4R3-S7 09 May 2024 tgz (644.63MB)

    • Explanation gave at the point: QFX 5e Series Switch 21.4R3-S7 09 May 2024 tgz (1388.25MB)

  • QFX 5 Series Switch with Enhanced Automation 21.4R3-S7 09 May 2024 tgz (644.63MB)
    • https://www.juniper.net/documentation/us/en/software/junos/automation-scripting/topics/concept/junos-flex-overview.html. To use the Junos Automation Enhancements, you must install the software bundle that contains Enhanced Automation. The filename of the software bundle varies, depending on the switch. For example, for the QFX5200 switch, you would install an image with the filename jinstall-qfx-5e-flex-version-domestic-signed.tgz. This software bundle is identical to the other software bundle except that Veriexec is disabled, which enables you to run unsigned programs, such as programs that you develop with Python, Chef, and Puppet.

  • QFX 5e Series Switch 21.4R3-S7 09 May 2024 tgz (1388.25MB)
    • https://www.juniper.net/documentation/us/en/software/junos/virtual-chassis/topics/concept/virtual-chassis-qfx-series-understanding.html. You must first upgrade a QFX5100 switch running a Junos OS software image with “-qfx-5-” in the package filename to a Junos OS software image with “-qfx-5e-” in the package filename before it can be added to a QFX5110 Virtual Chassis or VCF. See Upgrading a QFX5100 Switch with a USB Device to Join a QFX5110 Virtual Chassis or Virtual Chassis Fabric. So if you are running a standalone QFX5100, you should use the image with “-qfx-5-”, if you have a VC which has only QFX5100 members, use the image with “-qfx-5-” and if you have a mixed VC with QFX5110 or a VCF.

  • QFX 5e Series Switch with Enhanced Automation 21.4R3-S7 09 May 2024 tgz (1389.29MB)
    • Same as QFX 5 Series Switch with Enhanced Automation 21.4R3-S7 09 May 2024 tgz (644.63MB), the only difference is that this version is not used on standalone QFX5100 and on VCs formed only by QFX5100 members.
