This article contains information about how we can check the port to PFE mapping in line card of MX/PTX/ACX router series.
Line card of MX/PTX/ACX router series has multiple PFE and we some time need to know port to PFE mapping information.
To check port to PFE mapping, show chassis pic command is handy. You do not need to access PFE.
Sample of command output from MX304 router:
MX304 has 2 PFE slices on FPC 0.
As in "Port speed information" part, show chassis pic command tells
PFE 0 is hosting from port 8 to port 15.
PFE 1 is hosting from port 0 to port 0.
