How can I utilize the Juniper License User Guide to find this information?

What is a Juniper License Feature? 

It refers to specific functionalities or capabilities within Juniper Networks’ hardware and software products that require a license to activate and use.
 

Juniper employs a Three-Tier Software License Model, which includes:

Standard License: This includes basic features and is often bundled with the hardware.
Advanced License: This provides access to more advanced features.
Premium License: This offers the most comprehensive set of features. (includes all the features from the advanced license and additional features)

Each tier offers different features and support levels. 

The Juniper Licensing User Guide will help you to better understand what type of license you have and what are the features included in it. 

Here is a quick guide on how to use the Juniper Licensing user guide:

1. On the Juniper Licensing User Guide page, look for the "Licenses for Juniper Software" under the table of contents. From here, you can view the licensing information for different Juniper products. 

2. Choose the Software Licenses based on your product series. 

3. Identify your license by interpreting the product name characters. 

Let's say you have a license for EX-series and the product name is S-EX-P-C3-1. The first section of the page will provide guidance on how to interpret the characters in your license product name.
So, for S-EX-P-C3-1, we can tell that this is a Premium license for a Class 3 EX device and is valid for 1 year.

Knowing how to identify your license including its tier will help you better understand the features with licenses table. 

4. Go to Feature with Licenses table and look for the specific feature. In this table, you will be able to confirm if it is supported by your hardware and to what license tier it belongs to. 

If you already activated and installed your license, you may access the CLI to check if a feature is included following these two steps: 

1. Log in to your Juniper device
2. Use the command "show system license" to display the current licenses installed on your device. This command will list all the features, their serial numbers, and the duration of the licenses.
