When customer tested ACX7100 PTP locking speed and stability in a noise network, ACX7100 PTP took a couple hours to lock and bounced after lock.

After talking to Engineering, we need to adject the “thresholds” to lock faster/not losing lock. 

Customer has two ACX7100s setup for PTP as below.

1. A1 gets locked in 11 hours and is stable since.

2. A2 locks in almost 2 hr 30 mins, but it seems to be losing the lock intermittently.

set protocols ptp phase-adjust-threshold 3000

set protocols ptp frequency-lock-threshold 5

set protocols ptp phase-lock-threshold 500

(The value of above should be adjusted based on customer's network)

After the config change, following are the observations and the lock status has been consistent since then.

A2 was locked in under ~20 mins after reboot.

A1 was locked after around ~30 mins.

Both A1 and A2 PTP remain stable after that.
