This article explains the mPIM Module Firmware upgrade process tracking via logs and confirming that the upgrade process is successful or Failure.
mPIM Module shows Online while running "show chassis fpc pic-status"
mPIM LEDs are in Blinking state
mPIM wont dial in to the Career Network
If all the LEDs are in blinking state, it indicates that firmware updates are in progress and "do not power off the services gateway" before the updates complete.
The upgrade process ideally takes around 3 to 5 minutes. However, do monitor the LEDs and syslog messages for confirming the upgrade process status.

We can track the upgrade process by doing VTY to the PFE and check the syslog messages:
