This article provides the steps to perform SPC card replacement and Junos upgrade on a standalone SRX in one maintenance window.

The below steps can be taken to perform the SPC card replacement and Junos upgrade on a standalone SRX in one maintenance window.

1. Power down the SRX.
2. Remove the faulty card from the FPC slot.
3. Insert the new card.
4. Power on the SRX.
5. Verify, whether all the cards are up and no chassis alarms are active.
6. Copy the Junos image to SRX.
7. Add the image for the software upgrade using 'request system software add' command.
8. Reboot the node to upgrade the SRX to new image and perform the health checks to confirm the device health.
   
   Note: This procedure applies only to standalone SRX deployments and does not apply to chassis cluster environments.
