Description

Customers have reported that the AFT streaming Juniper prefix, when pointing to a non-LSP, is displaying as blank, which causes problems in Synapse. Logs from the Pictor connected to the MX running Junos version 20.3X75-D52 as below

Symptoms

Solution

This behaviour is a known issue in the current version of Junos (20.3X75-D52). 

Solution:
To resolve this issue, it is necessary to upgrade the router to a fixed version where this problem is addressed.

Steps to Upgrade:
1. Check for the Fixed Version: Identify the latest version of Junos that includes the fix for this issue. You can find this information in the Juniper release notes or by contacting Juniper support.
2. Download the Update: Obtain the fixed version from Juniper's official website or through your authorized Juniper distributor.
3. Backup Current Configuration: Before proceeding with the upgrade, ensure you back up your current router configuration to prevent any data loss.
4. Upgrade the Router:
   - Follow the official Juniper documentation for the upgrade process.
   - Install the new Junos version on your router.
5. Verify the Fix: After the upgrade, check the AFT Juniper prefix display in Synapse to ensure the issue has been resolved.
6. Monitor the System: Continue to monitor the system for any further issues and confirm stability.
