Description

This KB talks about a scenario when admin creates a new WAN interface on Ehub and require all static tunnels to switch to new WAN and delete old WAN link.

Symptoms

Spoke sites connected to lets say WAN0 of EHUB

WAN0 of EHUB was old interface and the WAN connection is DOWN

Admin creates a new WAN i.e. WAN1

Ask is to have all static tunnels from all spokes to switch from connecting to WAN0 to WAN1

Solution

Static tunnels between SPOKE and EHUB can be reconfigured for IP address but not WAN interface change.

To make the change for WAN interface follow the following steps:

  1. Navigate to Home > Resources > Site Management , Select the Site "Radio Button" and click "Edit"
  2. User is now into "Configure Site page": Home > Resources > Site Management > Configure Site
  3. "Click Next to move into Device section and de-select the EHUB. (Figure: 1)
  4. Click Next and Finish the task.

Once the above Job finishes delete the stale unused WAN from the Ehub "Configure site"

Revert back to Step 1 above and Select the "Primary Enterprise Hub" again.

Depending upon the correct matching mesh tags, on the WAN spoke and EHUB WAN. Static tunnels would be built correctly.
