Description

Sometimes, the routing instance from the device will not be updated in the Junos space database even after the device has been deleted and rediscovered.

When checking the Preview/Publish on the device from the Security director, we will get the below error:

Error while converting rule: RULENAME of Policy: POLICYNAME. Error message: Routing Instance ROUTINGINSTANCENAME, does not exist in device

 

 

Solution

To fix this issue, please follow the below steps:
  1. Restart the JBOSS service using the KB [Junos Space] How to restart JBOSS
  2. Delete the device from Network Management Platform and re-add it
