This KB addresses the cause of the commit error that occurs when configuring IRB on an S-VLAN within a Q-in-Q setup

The below commit error is observed while configuring IRB on s-vlan in q-in-q setup :

root@jtac# show | compare 
[edit vlans V2000]
+   l3-interface irb.2000;

{master:0}[edit]
root@jtac# commit 
[edit vlans V2000 l3-interface]
  'l3-interface irb.2000'
    l3-interface can be configured only under vlans with 'vlan-id'/'vlan-tags'
error: commit failed: (statements constraint check failed)

The commit error observed is expected on ELS switches, as IRB configuration on S-VLAN is supported only on NON-ELS switches.

Unfortunately, there is no alternative method available on ELS devices to configure an L3 interface for S-VLAN in q-in-q setup.
