This article provides the steps to troubleshoot the SPC3 Hard errors alarm.

Below alarm will be active on the chassis for the SPC card.

To troubleshoot the SPC card hard errors issue, please follow below steps.

1. Check which FPC has an active alarm using 'show chassis alarms' command.
2. Check the state of the FPC whether it is in Offline or Present state using 'show chassis fpc status' command.
3. Check the status if fabric planes using 'show chassis fabric plane' command to confirm whether all the planes are online.
4. Check whether the connection between the fabric planes and FPCs is healthy using 'show chassis fabric fpcs' command.
5. Perform a hard re-seat of the FPC card by powering down the SRX and removing the card. Incase of SRX chassis cluster, if the issue is on primary node, please failover the RGs to secondary node and perform the steps to avoid traffic disruption.
6. Re-insert the card and power on device.
7. Once the device is up, verify whether the hard errors alarm is still active or got resolved.
8. If the alarm is still active, try to swap card on another slot by powering down the device to verify the hardware issue with the card.
9. If the alarm follows to the new slot, means there's an issue with the card.
10. Verify the logs and proceed with the RMA of the card.
