The article provides details to check if PIC is not getting detected in the QFX5200 device

• The device will come up with FPC but there will be no PIC detected .

• When we check "show chassis fpc pic-status" PIC's will not be shown as seen below

FPC 0, PIC 0 is empty

1. Check for log messages and chassisd logs to see any errors are seen while PIC is coming up
2. If no errors seen on above files, Login into shell mode and check for syslog messages once the device is up
3. If there are any hardware errors or PIC Is failing to comeup, Power drain the device and check if PIC is detected [Please note in QFX5200 the PIC 0 is builtin ].
4. If Power drain also does not help detect the PIC , RMA the device
