This article describes the behavior of these WAN edge events.

WAN edge insights show events:
 

• Configured
• Config changed by user

These events represent the user modifying the device's configuration via MIST, however, "Config changed by user " does not mean the configuration is fully committed or implemented on the device. This event is only a notification to announce MIST will be pushing new configuration into the device by a user's request.

"Configured" means the configuration changes made by the user has been successfully pushed to the device, this event shows up usually 5 to 15 minutes after the previous event as MIST only does a "commit confirmed" to prevent sudden unexpected disconnections from the cloud.

In short:

Config changed by user = Configuration is on test run
Configured = Fully committed into the device
