Not all Junos OS versions are qualified or supported on Juniper Mist because the platform requires specific, stable, and feature-rich versions to ensure reliable API communication, AI-driven telemetry ingestion, and consistent configuration management.
This article guides you through the process of identifying the MIST-qualified Junos releases for SRX Series devices.

Follow these steps to locate the suggested Junos releases for MIST:

1. Navigate to WAN Edges and choose the site from the MIST UI.
2. Select the SRX device.
3. Once you access the WAN Edge Page, go to Utilities > Upgrade Firmware.
4. The MIST suggested releases will appear at the top of the dropdown menu, as shown in the image below:

NOTE:- Any version that is not listed or cannot be found in the dropdown is NOT qualified to be deployed on SRX managed by MIST.
However, you can still upgrade to the version which are not in the list using CLI, but this is not supported and might cause issues.
