On Junos Evolved PTX10008/PTX10004/PTX10016, some fans could not be working after hot-insertion of Fan Tray.

When this issue occurs, the Fan Tray alarm and the Fan status can be checked as below.

Step 1 : Swap Fan Tray 0 with Fan Tray 1, check the status of the alarm. Collect the below.

> show system alarms no-forwarding
> show chassis hardware detail no-forwarding
 

Step 2 : Swap Fan Tray Controllers i.e. FTC 0 and FTC 1. If the issue is with FTC 0 it will move to Fan Tray 1. Collect the below.

> show system alarms no-forwarding
> show chassis hardware detail no-forwarding
