Description

This KB article explains why version 20.2R3-S4 was removed from the Juniper Support portal while version 20.2R3-S2 remains available, even though this version is older.

Symptoms

  • Customers may have concerns about the removal of version 20.2R3-S4, believing it was due to vulnerabilities or bugs.
  • Questions or confusion about why the older version 20.2R3-S2 is still available while the newer version 20.2R3-S4 has been removed.
  • Potential worries about the stability and security of the retained versions.

Solution

  • After internal confirmation, it has been determined that version 20.2R3-S4 was left on the portal by mistake and will eventually be removed. Both versions are End of Support (EOS).
  • There is no need for concern regarding the removal of version 20.2R3-S4, as it is part of the standard procedure for managing EOS versions on the portal.
  • If there is a need to access version 20.2R3-S4, customers can create a JTAC case to request a copy of the release file.
