Description

This article explains the meaning of the "cmqfx: Link errors detected for plane 3 sib 1 fault_error" syslog messages that are logged in relation to the Switch Interface Board (SIB) link and the Flexible PIC Concentrator (FPC) link, and how to resolve them.

Symptoms

  • Below logs are seen in all FPC of the device 


FPC0:

SIB1 is connected to all FPC and currently SIB1 is having link error 

SIB1:

Solution

  •  cmqfx10_asic_scan is a periodic asic scan on switch interface board[SIB], here it reports link error with SIB 1 plane3. And it is continuously seen on the SIB1
Next Action:
  • To recover from this issue perform graceful re-seat of SIB1.
  • Monitor the SIB for next 48 Hours. If the issue is not resolved or reappeared again during monitoring time, collect below commands and contact JTAC for further assistance
