Description

This KB article explains that SD Cloud does not introduce unintended configuration changes on managed devices. SD Cloud only applies the modifications explicitly made by the user through the SD Cloud UI.

Symptoms

Configuration unrelated to the intended changes appears to be modified or removed on the managed device after an SD Cloud commit.

Solution

SD Cloud generates configuration previews by comparing the intended configuration with the active configuration on the managed device. Users can validate the exact changes pushed by SD Cloud using the following device CLI commands:

  • show system commit

  • show system rollback compare 0 1
