Description

This article informs users about the current capabilities and limitations of configuring Static Network Address Translation (NAT) using the MIST UI.

Symptoms

Even though we configure static NAT from LAN to LAN from MIST UI, it still creates a static NAT and policy from WAN to LAN only.

Solution

As of now, MIST UI supports configuring static NAT in the following scenarios:

  1. Underlay (WAN Interface): Static NAT can be configured directly on the WAN interface.
  2. Overlay (IPsec Tunnels): Static NAT can be configured over IPsec tunnels.

For customers needing to configure static NAT between different zones (other than the WAN zone), this functionality is not directly supported through the MIST UI. In these cases, users must utilize the additional CLI features to achieve the desired static NAT configuration.
