A: Security Director acquires data details through the Elastic Search DB within Security Director Insights, polling statistic details from the event logs "RT_FLOW_SESSION_CLOSE" and "RT_FLOW_SESSION_CLOSE_LS". This data is then is stored in the Space server's app_visibility DB for quick access.

Q: Is AppTrack configuration necessary for Application Visibility?
A: Starting from Security Director version 21.2R1 and JunOS version 21.2 onwards, AppTrack logs are not required.

Q: What happens when "Stop Polling" is selected in Security Director's Application Visibility settings?
A: Security Director will cease to poll logs from Security Director Insights, and consequently, data will not be displayed on the Application Visibility page.
