Description

We are losing connectivity to our core and dropping large sections of the network.

Solution

  • Please validate what is the "STP" topology desired through this network. (Root bridge, back up root bridge, et)

  • The distribution Juniper ex4400 switch is getting several BPDUs from cisco switch. However, rstp is running on it. Advised enabling rsvp instead of rstp under the Juniper switches:

  • Last topology change came from access switch connected to AE1, please make sure no bpdus are coming from that switch and configure the ports as edge if required, for all access switches.

  •  No mac moves or loops were detected.
