Description

The alarm indicates disk issues with the routing engine on EVO platforms. 
 

Symptoms

When there is a disk failure below alarm will be reported. Every routing engine has two disks sda and sdb.

The sda indicates disk 1 and sdb disk 2. In the below logs the disk 2-- sdb of host 1-- Routing Engine 1 has issues. 

The alarm indicates either permanent disk failure or a transient issue with the disk

Solution

The alarm indicates either a permanent failure of the disk or a transient issue. 

To resolve the issue:

1. Reboot the host-routing engine on which the alarm is detected in a maintenance window.
2. If reboot does not solve the issue please reseat the routing engine in a maintenance window
3. If the issue still persists replace the routing engine with spare/ RMA.
