Description

This article decribes the "Double or Multiple bit ECC error" log messages that are seen on the EX4300 device and what can be done to clear the error.

Symptoms

Log messages recorded.

Solution

In general please note that memory parity errors are h/w state changes(bit flips due to thermal, environment, radiation ) etc. If the error is seen rarely, a device reboot / power drain can help.

If the issue persists post reboot then it is likely a hardware failure. Please contact JTAC to create RMA.
