This article addresses the issue where USB option is not available on Boot Manager, while format installing the QFX5110 switch using bootable USB.

Symptoms

Format install a QFX5110 switch using base .img (Base Install media) image.

Solution

Issue Details :

Follow the below KB to format install the QFX5110 switch :

Once we select to go the the Boot Manager, we don't see the USB option (EFI USB device) to boot up the device. The issue is seen when using the base .img (Base Install Media) file.

 

Resolution :

Engineering Team has suggested to use secure Install Media file as a workaround. Filename : "install-media-host-usb-qfx-5e-x86-64-xx-secure.img".
