Description

The Article describes drops seen on interfaces which are not actual drops but are due to incorrect counters

Symptoms

  • On QFX Series Switches the following logs might be displayed as a result of polling class of service-related SNMP OIDs. These messages might eventually lead to interface counters not being populated properly. There is no other impact on these messages.

  • Also We might see the drop counters being increased to high number without impact being seen.

 

Solution

Stop all SNMP walks on COS objects and Reboot the device.
