Description

Upgrade failed on  MX960, vrrp process not starting due to the password too long. 

Solution


The VRRP password length not support error was reported on the device after the upgrade to code 21.2R3-S7.7 .
The maximum password length supported on this code is 8 characters, however password was of 10 characters.
After changing the password to 8 characters and restarting the VRRP resolve the issue.
