Description

This article describes the issue of the devices not being listed when trying to deploy/stage images via Junos Space

Symptoms

A few probable causes for this issue are as follows:

  • Wrongly downloaded OS images

  • Devices might be down in Junos Space

  • Junos Space might be using the wrong login credentials or the credentials used don't have read/write permissions on the end device.

Solution

1. On the Junos Space Platform UI, select Images and Scripts > Images > Click the Import Image icon, Browse and upload.

2. Before deploying or staging the image through Junos Space, please ensure that the devices are operational and in sync.

3. Please make sure that the user accessing the device through Junos Space has both read and write access to the end device.

Note: If the user doesn't have the proper permissions, either edit it's permissions on the end device or change authentication to a different user on Space by going to device management > right click the device > device authentication and enter the new username and password.

4. Ensure that you have uploaded the images for the correct platform series. You can confirm the corresponding platform series in the images and script section.

5. If the device is UP and the correct OS image has been uploaded, it should appear in the list. However, if you encounter any problems, please reach out to JTAC support for additional help.
