Description

The alarm indicates there was a mismatch for the installed DRAM size for the RE-S-1800x4.

Symptoms

Dynamic random-access memory (DRAM)is the total physical memory available

When there is a mismatch of available size we will received the below chassis alarm
During issue time there will a difference observed between the installed DRAM size in MB for the RE-S-1800x4

Chassis alarm -

Solution

The below action was performed during the issue time to resolve the issue in a MW

Here in the above logs issue is reported for RE1 which is showing less DRAM size in chassisd logs

-We checked the RE1 alarm and confirmed the wrong DRAM size present in "show chassis routing-engine"

-Perform a offline/online of CB1 via CLI

-RE 1 will reboot

-If issue still persist after reboot for RE1

-A physical reseat for the RE 1 was performed.

-After the reseat of RE1 the alarm has been cleared
