This article provides detail on Anonymous Proxy addresses and how to use them while configuring Geo IP dynamic address entries (DAE)
The Juniper ATP Cloud Geo IP feed uses the ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 standard for country codes. In addition, there are several codes that are not part of ISO 3166-1 alpha-2. See table 1 in the admin guide - Configure ATP Cloud with Geo IP
This article is concerned with the A1 code for Anonymous Proxy. The Anonymous Proxy code identifies IP addresses used by specific anonymous proxies or VPN services. These types of services may be used to bypass Geo IP restrictions. In case you find out that IP addresses from a country are experiencing behavior contrary to the configured policy, it could be because the addresses could be classified as anonymous proxy addresses. In such a case, the issue can be resolved by adding the code "A1" to the Geo IP DAE configuration.NOTE: If the address doesn't appear under the expected country code or any of the additional codes mentioned above, open a tech support case and JTAC will investigate.
