SFP-1FE-LX from vendor EOPTOLINK cannot linkup on MIC-3D-20GE-SFP-E card

Symptoms

When SFP-1FE-LX from vendor EOPTOLINK is inserted to MIC-3D-20GE-SFP-E with fiber connection, although the optics diagnostics shows the interface laser output and receive power is normal, the physic link is down and traffic cannot pass through the interface.

 

Solution

The root cause of the issue is that by default, for EX-SFP-1FE-LX auto-negotiation should be disabled, we failed to do this for vendor type "EOPTOLINK INC". Due to mismatch in AN configuration link is not coming up.
This bug has been resolved in release 21.2R3-S7 for MX104 and 23.2R2 on JUNOS
