Description

In JUNOS EVO platform with a dual routing-engine, the license keys installed in the master routing-engine will fail to synchronize with the backup routing-engine.

 

Symptoms

In case of mastership switchover and since the synchronization of license keys is failing between master and backup routing-engines , the new master routing-engine will not have license keys installed and a system alarm might be raised

Solution

Installed the license key in each routing-engine individually ( in JUNOS EVO license key can be just installed in the master routing-engine ).
