Description

Need help installing replacement LWC to install. LWC port ge-0/0/0 link remain down. DHCP not working. hence captive portal not working. 

Symptoms

Laptop directly connected to front panel port ge-0/0/0.  Port ge-0/0/0 does not have the link up

Solution

The front panel interface ge-0/0/0 on the LWC supports 1 Gbps, and supports auto-negotiation. When configuring Captive Portal, the laptop must be connected using a NIC that supports 1 Gbps.  If you are connecting via a USB Ethernet adapter on your laptop, to the ge-0/0/0 port, make sure the ethernet adapter supports 1 Gbps.
